ATTENTION - if you post an ask {votes, referrals, facebook friends, or similar requests} prior to being a member for 2 weeks, you WILL be banned for the remainder.
That means 2 weeks if you just joined today. If you joined and waited 5 days? You will be banned for 9 days.
We've had to resort to banning *everyone* who breaks this simple rule because we moderators have had to play catch up, while waiting for new members to stop posting their ask long enough to read the pm, and to stop posting.
So while this may have been an innocent mistake on your part, of late we've had quite a few who come to SA only for votes, OR referrals, and who'd leave shortly after, without returning votes, so to give you time to learn the ropes, you will be banned from posting until your 2 weeks from join date ends.
Please take that time to familiarize yourself with the simple rules we've pm'd you, thanks.

One other item:
It is not appropriate to request votes for a sweep that was never listed here if you found and entered the sweep via another sweeps site.

^^^If you post an ask, but don't RTF in other threads, your thread will be locked after 4 days from your thread post date to protect the SA members who would wait in vain for an RTF.
Wondering why your vote thread was locked?
If you ask even 1 day prior to your 2 weeks, you WILL be banned and your thread will be locked.
If your ask is over, it was locked to prevent people from posting to it when they can't actually vote.
If it isn't over? I locked your thread so people don't waste their time posting they voted for you and asking you to return the vote when you either posted your ask and then left SA, or you don't return votes.
If your thread was locked and you wish to re-open it, please pm me, thanks.
So, if you post an ask, and don't post you RTF to any thread, and you haven't been back to SA, I'll lock your thread after 4 days - if this has happened to you? PM me to have it unlocked, thanks.
^^^If you then start a new thread without asking via pm for your old thread to be unlocked, your thread will have this posted to it:
{user} - I merged your new thread ask with your old thread. I clearly stated to contact me by pm if you wish to have your thread unlocked.
If you ignore the rules again, you will be banned from posting.

Reminder - you may NEVER post for votes in COMMENTS or through pm, or in any other forum than Referral and Vote Requests
You MAY post your ask in the Referral and Vote Requests forum only after your 2 weeks are up in your own thread or AFTER you vote for others in their thread(s).
***I just had to ban a long time member for posting her ask in the COMMENTS.
I wish she had read this first, or if she did read it, that she realized we DO mean "Posting your ask anywhere but Referral and Vote Requests will get you a timeout"
